Day to Night

New York and Company blouse, American Eagle jacket, J. Crew Factory skirt, Steve Madden wedges, Target bag, Gemmy Junky necklace, kate spade earrings & sunnies

I'm so excited to be the first participant in Laura's new series, Day to Night! We have exactly the same skirt, so we decided to share two ways to style it, whether you're out running errands or going on a hot date!

I took the daytime look and chose to pair my skirt with a boyfriend style jacket and espadrilles. Looking back, I should have worn flat sandals, but since the skirt is a bit long on me and I haven't been to the tailor, I wore wedges to add a little extra height. Ideally, I'd throw on my leather & glitter sandals!

Summer Sandals

Steve Madden // Ivanka Trump (on sale!) // Report (on sale!)

This time of year I always feel like I need to update my sandal collection! I wear flat sandals ALL summer, and because of my non-existent arch, I need little support so flat sandals are so comfy for me! This season, I'm all about the details. Colorblocking, subtle ombre, and simple metallic thongs are at the top of my wish list. What type of sandals are you most drawn to this year?

We're finally all moved into our new house! I'm utterly exhausted from moving for 4 days straight so I'm still trying to get caught up on rest. We didn't hire a moving company and instead opted to do it on our own with help from friends. We absolutely couldn't have done it without Will, Courtney, and Zach's help! I'm still trying to convince Tyler that with the money we saved from moving ourselves, I should be able to get a massage. :)

My parents came up Saturday evening and we spent the rest of the weekend unpacking and organizing. They were such a huge help! We still have a long way to go but we're just so happy to finally be living in our adorable new place.

Candy Colored

J. Crew shirt (sold out, but on eBay) & skirt (similar J. Crew factory version), Target bag, eBay necklace, Steve Madden wedges (similar), kate spade sunnies

Last Sunday was a beautiful spring day with blue skies and a slight breeze. Pretty weather always gets me in the mood to wear bright colors so I couldn't resist pairing my favorite neon shirt with turquoise and yellow!

Are you getting tired of seeing these sunglasses yet? You must think I don't own any others. And you'd be right. I used to buy cheap sunglasses, but the first time I put these kate spade beauties on, my days of cheap sunglasses were over. The only problem is, I can't afford to have multiple pairs! Obviously I need these mint aviators!

Thanks for reading!

Save or Splurge: White Cap Toe Pumps

I'm not normally attracted to white pumps, but I fell in love with the gold cap-toe from Steve Madden's more sophisticated (and often more expensive) line, Steven. I was disappointed to see the price of $150 and went searching for less expensive alternatives. I found myself browsing J.C. Penney's shoe department and found this similar pair. I'm not completely sold on them, mostly because the cap-toe is silver instead of gold. The Steven pair just looks sleeker and of course, of higher quality than the J.C. Penney alternative. On the other hand, cap-toes could be a passing trend, which in case I might regret splurging.

What do you think? Is this a save or splurge?

Look for Less: Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin 'Pigalle' / Steven by Steve Madden 'Loulu"

Look like a million bucks (without breaking the bank)! I've found that one of the most important aspects about shopping on a budget is finding similar pieces for a fraction of the cost! Up first in my new series, Look for Less, are the coveted red-soled heels designed by no other than Christian Louboutin. Want the look of Louboutin but not the price tag? These Steve Madden heels (right) are a dead ringer for Louboutin's Pigalle style and are so utterly classic and sophisticated I cannot stop drooling. I know they look sky high, but at 4" with a 1/4" hidden platform, they are totally manageable! They're selling out quickly (already sold out on Shopbop and Zappos!) so act fast!

Be sure and follow me to see more Looks for Less!*
