Silver + Tan

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6

I've never been a huge fan of the color silver... I'm a gold gal! But this spring is all about silver footwear and I have to admit... I'm kinda loving it! I'm currently drooling over styles that combine silver with tan... It's such an unexpected pairing and is just about as versatile as you can get!

Coach is alllll over this silver/tan combo (the top 3 are Coach). I'm especially smitten with the Rebecca Minkoff wedges (#4) but even the sale price is too much for me to spend...

We're starting to move tonight! I can hardly wait to start taking things over to the new place and see the transformation from empty to homey!

Emerald

When emerald was announced as Pantone's color of the year for 2013, I wasn't thrilled (I much prefer the honeysuckle and tangerine from recent years past). Since then, I've warmed up to the idea a little more and have found that I'm most drawn to fabrics and textures that allow the jeweled tone to shine, such as the patent heels, the metallic leather bag, the jacquard printed pants, or shimmery nail polish.

What do you think about emerald as 2013's color of the year?

Shades of Blue

Blazer: J. Crew (in navy here) / Shirt: J. Crew Factory (retail version) / Pants: Hudson / Clutch: Target / Necklace: Banana Republic / Earrings: Target / Shoes: Coach

If you remember this post about J. Crew's new spring collection, you'll recall that I pinned a mint gingham shirt as one of my spring must-haves. While the J. Crew version was more than I was willing to pay, I later found its twin at J. Crew Factory for a much cheaper price, as documented in this post.

For weeks I've dreamed of ways to wear it and potential color combinations (I can't wait to pair it with pink or yellow for spring). This past weekend, as I looked in my closet and noticed an abundant amount of blue staring back at me, I decided to go for a monochromatic look with pale mint jeans, a cobalt blazer, and ombre chandelier earrings.
