This past Saturday we slept in, ate brunch at a cozy diner, took Bella & Bentley on a doggie play date at the park with Will & Courtney's furry kids, (which resulted in baths for both dogs), made cupcakes, cleaned our apartment and ended up going on a spontaneous double date with friends Barrett & Michelle! A Saturday with no plans turned into a day full of friends & productivity... gotta love spontaneity!

I've been dying for a pair of Hunter boots, but have been hesitant to spend $135 for colored rubber. How is it that when you want something, it always starts popping up everywhere you look?! It never fails. Almost every blogger I follow has a pair, countless celebrities, friends at church, even a coworker! Since I had Christmas money to spend, I started looking more seriously at purchasing a pair of the seemingly most popular rain boot on the planet. Of course I was drawn to the bright pink, but I also had a strong gravitation to red. After my search for a red pair in my size came up empty, I came across the pink for sale on eBay (new with tags!). I got a great deal on them, and was especially excited since the pink color is no longer for sale on any retail website. I love my pink pair, but I'm still not ruling out the possibility of other colors (have you seen their new spring colors?!).

Christmas Cash: What I Bought

There is nothing more exciting than having a designated amount of money that you can spend on whatever you please. I find myself taking more time to make decisions on purchases and being extra conscious of how much I'm spending (because I want it to last as long as possible!). I finally used the last of my Christmas money last week. I'm sad that my shopping spree has come to an end, but I'm so excited with my final purchases!

I couldn't help but notice that several of the fashion blogs I follow all posted about the color yellow this week. I guess I'm not the only one feeling the winter blues after the sparkle of the holidays are gone! Wearing bright colors is a great way to instantly pump up your mood during the dreary winter months that seem to last forever. What color could make you feel happier than the color of sunshine?! I don't know about you, but I'm wishing I had more yellow in my closet!
